Red Pepper Jelly

Red Pepper Jelly
One of My Favourite Ingredients
Red pepper jelly is one of my secret weapons. It’s characteristic sweet and spicy nature lends itself to so many delicious applications. It’s a natural star on a cheese board but there are so many other ways to use it. You will definitely want to stock up on this underused condiment after being inspired by its versatility.

- Use it as a sandwich spread, mixed with mayo or on its own.
- Candied bacon. Cook bacon in the oven at 350F and brush with red pepper jelly for a treat.
- Use it as a dip for egg rolls, spring rolls or chicken fingers. Warm it up slightly to make it dippable.
- Add a dollop or two at the end of cooking a veggie or meat stir fry. Mix it in until the jelly dissolves.
- Glaze over cooked meats like pork or chicken closer to the end of cooking time.
