Blue cheese was my first love.  Even as a little girl I would always opt for the blue cheese on my tossed salad when we dined out.  To this day it is one of my favourite creamy dressings, especially when paired with a classic wedge style salad.  However, this dressing is more than just a one trick pony, consider using it on potato salad, to dip your pizza crust in or even as a sauce for a grilled steak.

75 g blue cheese

1/2 cup full fat sour cream

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1/2 cup buttermilk

1/2 tsp dry thyme

1/2 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp freshly cracked pepper

1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

1/4 tsp salt

  1. Add the blue cheese to a large bowl and mash with the back of a fork.

  2. Whisk in the mayonnaise, sour cream, buttermilk, thyme, onion powder, pepper, lemon juice and salt

  3. Store in the fridge in an air tight container.
