This delicious summer treat is something that I use to make a lot when my boys were little. At first I would just throw a couple frozen bananas and strawberries into my blender and whip up a frozen fruit treat. Eventually, I started adding plain full fat yogurt, making it tangier, smoother and much more satisfying. Make this once and you will soon realize how many delicious variations are possible. The best part is that a quick summer dessert can be yours in less than 5 minutes.
Serves 4
3 cups frozen fruit
3/4 cup plain full fat yogurt
1 tbsp honey
-
Place everything in a blender and process until everything is smooth and well combined.
The more power your blender has the less time it will take to whip up the frozen yogurt. You may have to pulse and stir the yogurt a couple times before you get the consistency you are looking for.
Other flavour combinations
3 frozen bananas, 3/4 cup yogurt, 2 tbsp peanut butter
3 cups frozen pineapple, 3/4 cup yogurt
3 cups frozen peaches, 3/4 cup yogurt, 1 tbsp honey, 1 tsp cinnamon
2 cup frozen cherries, 1 frozen banana, 3/4 cup yogurt, 1 tbsp cocoa powder, 2 tbsp maple syrup

TIP: If you have leftovers freeze in popsicle molds or in ice cube trays to add to your smoothies.
